SpongeBob’s Christmas wish turns out to be that he just wants Santa to visit Bikini Bottom. SpongeBob just assumes that Patrick doesn’t know what to write (even though he can’t write properly) and decides to show him an example of a letter. Patrick ends up constantly ripping his paper since he apparently moves the paper instead of the pencil. Well, now we know who’s getting coal this year. Squidward on the other hand thinks that Christmas is a complete joke and that this just another one of SpongeBob’s stupid made up holidays. Krabs are very impressed at the holiday especially the part about Santa and his gifts so SpongeBob decides to give them some paper to write Christmas letters to Santa. Krabs, Squidward, and Patrick (since they’re his closest male compadres) about what Sandy told him about Christmas. Sandy decides to tell SpongeBob all about Christmas and how awesome it is with some goofy facial expressions I must say. Sandy tries to call SpongeBob out on being so stupid but it turns out that he’s never heard of Christmas since apparently the jolly fat man myth never made it to sea. Since he doesn’t know beans about Christmas, SpongeBob assumes that Sandy’s tree is on fire and uses water to try and douse it but all he succeeds in doing is making Sandy very annoyed. When he gets closer to her treedome though, SpongeBob sees Sandy putting some lights on her tree. The SpongeBob segment begins with him preparing to sneak up Sandy using his karate moves. Patchy decides to use this as an opportunity to tell us how SpongeBob and the gang discovered Christmas. One letter asks how SpongeBob much he loves Christmas. Dang, SpongeBob became a really popular guy just a year into the show’s run. Patchy decides to open fan letters from all those dedicated SpongeBob fans out there. I wonder if Patchy even has any parents or is just an orphan. The episode starts off with Patchy the Pirate (aka the pirate that worships SpongeBob) introducing himself and his preparations for another Christmas alone with his parrot called Potty (he doesn’t swear ironically). Now enjoy your gift while I celebrate Christmas with some eggnog. That was because I wanted to wait until Christmas to give y’all this review as a surprise gift. Love J-14?
